on thid DD/no DD issue.
i think the most fair thing is for use to have static DD. DD BASED ON STARTING BALANCE not EQUITY
That is a something that take cares of both who want the equity DD gone and the ones who find professionalism in trading with DD
Thanks

hi guys, apologies but we had a small connection issue with the ICT demo servers.
the issue was identified, connection was reestablished and all should be well now.
some of you might still see account pending, but rest assured it will be fixed in no time, as the server is matching the accounts one by one.
many thanks for understanding, and best of luck :)

Contests are fair when CBFX accommodates and realizes all member requests. This time the contest is without DD, the next contest returns to the original rule of using DD, alternating. This I think is the fairest solution.

Are you sure? If you won in the previous contests where d/d was taken into account, then why would you participate in these contests again?
You probably have your own strategy that you use on a real account. Right? Why not apply the same strategy in the contests, but with the margin calculator in mind? It’s there for your benefit. Use it, and good luck.)

Another idea, for those that do appreciate the drawdown inclusion, we could try where the winner is determined by equity divided by drawdown, thus drawdown would be a big factor in the determination of winners but it's not a factor in disqualifications.

A contest without DD, with a huge number of bullets, is like gambling.

I would not think of it as no drawdown because that implies you can lose endlessly. In fact there is a drawdown rule but it’s equal to 100% of the initial account balance. Once you lose this much you are disqualified. There will never be a case where someone was disqualified when they shouldn’t be, or, where someone wasn’t disqualified when they should be, which was the case before.
As far as I can see, the main thing that separates our current contest from any others is the restrictions that prevent bots and latency arbitrage type strategies from gaining too massive an edge, since any winning trade held less than 2 minutes won’t count, and you only get ~60 trades. This is very different than any other contest that I’m aware of, where latency arb can be used to gain a huge advantage to scalp the vulnerable demo feeds.
If we can tweak the rules or add anything to make it even fairer I’m for sure interested in that.

Yes I agree, possibly even more like 60 minutes, might make it more fair.

come on admin, please be the first CBFX, I really like DD which makes someone more professional, because that's where you can see who really deserves to win, not the reckless ones who are not clear

All participants deserve to win. Therefore, trade as you wish. Your task is to make more profit. Focus more on the chart, analyze it, and do not get distracted by the ranking. I am sure that the administrators will identify the dishonest participants. Therefore, aim for more profit, no drawdown, and more freedom.

I have an idea: when joining the competition, the following options are offered: 1) an account with drawdown consideration and 2) an account without drawdown consideration. Those who really want to trade with drawdown consideration should choose the first account. And those who want their account to have no restrictions should choose the second account
I think this takes into account the interests of all parties.

It was correct to use 30% drawdown, why was it removed? This made the contest less exciting, as no participants were disqualified. Competition for the winner will be exciting when you want to increase equity but DD is already large. Without DD, it will be bland.

The contest is interesting because there’s no DD and no restrictions. Only freedom of action. If you made a mistake, you’re the only one to blame. You didn’t follow the risk-reward, just like in real trading. I can also say the same about the heartbeat! Where there’s no DD, the heart beats differently. It’s an exciting contest, especially when 5 contenders do everything to keep their position in the ranking.

Back to the drawdown account again? Why?
They said that in the next contests there will be no more accounting for drawdown.

Removing Drawdown a good idea. Because: Let's imagine that I opened a long position at a price of $5 and set the take profit at $20, with a stop loss at $4. The price rose to $15 and then retraced to $9, after which the price started rising again and reached $20, and my position closed with the take profit. But due to the drawdown consideration, I got disqualified from the contest because the drawdown was 40%. Do you understand how this affects? I'm not used to opening trades every 5-6 hours; I always trade from level to level.
