Evaluation Rules

Rule Value Details
EA Usage Allowed (with restrictions) The use of EAs is allowed, but they must not perform any of Hantec Trader's restricted strategies. (Check the 'Prohibited Trading Practices/Gambling Policy' section.)
Overnight and Weekend Holding Allowed No restrictions on holding trades over the weekend for any account type. Be aware of the risks associated with weekend holding, including potential gaps and wider spreads.
Copy Trading Not Allowed Copying trades from other traders or accounts, using third-party strategies to pass the Challenge, collusion, copy trading between accounts with different registration details, and copy trading that constitutes "manipulative trading" are prohibited.
Trading Strategies Some Allowed, Some Restricted Martingale is likely restricted. Scalping (trades open for less than 3 minutes, using EAs for scalping during rollovers, and tick scalping) is prohibited. Hedging is allowed within each individual account but prohibited across multiple accounts. Reverse trading/group hedging and hedge arbitrage are prohibited.
Inactivity Not Allowed (30-day rule) If a trade is not placed at least once every 30 days, it's a Hard Breach, and the account is closed. This applies to all account types.
News Trading Allowed (with caution) No restrictions on trading during news in any Challenge or Hantec Trader Accounts. However, traders are advised to be cautious during high-impact news due to increased volatility and potential slippage. Engaging in gap trading within two hours of market closures or major news events and opening pending orders (bracketing) around high-impact news are prohibited.
IP Address Restricted Collusion with others to manipulate prices or coordinate trading, including through the use of multiple IP addresses, and unauthorized access or use of another customer's account are prohibited.
Prohibited Trading Practices/Gambling Policy Not Allowed A wide range of practices are prohibited, including exploiting platform errors, manipulating market prices, arbitrage abuse, collusion, front-running, using third-party strategies to pass the Challenge, using automated algorithms for manipulation, unauthorized account access, disruptive trading, arbitrage between accounts, HFT, reverse trading/group hedging, hedging across multiple accounts, using external/slow data feeds, manipulative trading, violating platform terms, using unfair advantage technology, non-standard market practices, gambling (including overleveraging, overexposure, and one-sided bets), unrealistic fills, price discrepancy exploitation, trade coordination/copy trading, gap trading, system error exploitation, external feed trading, coordinated manipulation, and unfair advantage technology.
Trading Period Unlimited No time limit for the Enhanced Challenge and Express Challenge.
Minimum Trading Days None No minimum trading days for Enhanced Challenge, Express Challenge, or Hantec Trader Accounts (for initial withdrawal).
Misc. Rules Various Violating Maximum Daily Loss or Maximum Total Loss is a Hard Breach. Maximum Daily Loss is 5% based on the previous day's end-of-day balance for all account types. Maximum Total Loss varies by account type and stage. Profit targets vary by Challenge type. Stop losses are not mandatory but advised. Retakes have a 10% discount. Account leverage varies by instrument. Platforms cannot be changed after a Challenge starts. Withdrawal rules and maximum total loss lock-in apply to Hantec Trader Accounts.
