Rule Value Details
EA Usage Allowed (with restrictions) EAs are permitted if they do not engage in prohibited activities, including HFT, toxic order flow, arbitrage (long/short, reverse), tick scalping, server execution exploitation, reverse/group hedging, or hedging.
Overnight and Weekend Holding Allowed Traders can hold their positions overnight and over the weekend.
Copy Trading Not Allowed Copy trading from other traders is prohibited. Mirroring your own trades from a personal account is allowed. Using "pass your account" services or having another trader trade on your behalf is prohibited.
Trading Strategies Some Allowed, Some Restricted Gambling through a challenge phase is prohibited. This includes excessive scalping (50% or more of trades held for less than one minute), martingale (five or more simultaneous positions in drawdown on the same pair), and all-in betting (risking the entire account on a single trade without a stop-loss or risking more than the allowed drawdown).
Inactivity No Rule Maven Trading does not have an inactivity rule.
News Trading Restricted News trading is permitted, but opening or closing trades within two minutes before or after a high-impact (red folder) news event is prohibited. If an evaluation account passes solely due to profits during these periods, the pass will be invalidated. On live accounts, profits from such trades will not be credited.
IP Address/VPN/VPS Consistency Required The IP address for Phase 1, Phase 2, and live accounts must match the same geographical region. If the IP address changes, proof and reasoning must be provided.
Prohibited Trading Practices/Gambling Policy Not Allowed Exploiting demo account inefficiencies (HFT, toxic order flow, arbitrage, tick scalping, server execution exploitation), copy trading violations, reverse/group hedging, and using malicious hedging EAs are prohibited. Violations result in account termination.
Trading Period Unlimited Traders are free to trade for however long it's necessary to pass the challenge.
Minimum Trading Days None Traders are allowed to pass the challenge in less than a day. No minimum trading days required.
Misc. Rules Various Maven Trading offers different drawdown types: Static (fixed drawdown), Equity-Based (resets daily based on higher of equity or balance), Balance-Based (resets daily based on balance only), and Trailing (adjusts dynamically based on highest equity reached).
