Rule Value Details
EA Usage Allowed (with restrictions) EAs, scripts, and indicators are permitted. Copy trading EAs, EAs engaging in price or latency arbitrage, and EAs engaging in other prohibited trading behaviors are not allowed.
Overnight and Weekend Holding Allowed Holding positions overnight and over the weekend is allowed.
Copy Trading Restricted Copying from an OANDA Prop Trader account to other non-OANDA companies and third parties is allowed. Copying into an OANDA Prop Trader account from external companies or third-party services is prohibited and results in a hard breach.
Trading Strategies Some Allowed, Some Restricted Martingale and hedging are allowed, but must adhere to margin tier rules and exposure limits. Scalping is likely restricted if it falls under "Prohibited Trading Practices."
Inactivity Not Allowed (20-day rule) An inactivity period of 20 calendar days is enforced.
News Trading Not Allowed Trading two minutes before and/or two minutes after news events is not permitted. Trades opened during this window will be closed, with P/L realized on the account (soft breach).
IP Address/VPN/VPS No Rule No public information could be found regarding IP addresses or VPN/VPS usage.
Prohibited Trading Practices/Gambling Policy Not Allowed Ultra-high-speed/mass data entry without consent, trading on invalid quotes or manifest errors, exceeding order/position limits, exploiting price latency, using devices/software/algorithms for unfair advantage, exploiting system faults/loopholes, placing multiple smaller orders near the same price instead of a single large order, collusion, profiting from delayed prices, manipulating trading, news trading, and any other practices listed in the Terms and Conditions are prohibited.
Trading Period Unlimited No maximum trading days.
Minimum Trading Days None No minimum trading days to qualify.
Misc. Rules Various Retry discounts are available for Classic and Boost plans.
