Rule Value Details
EA Usage Allowed The use of Expert Advisors (EAs) is permitted. Traders can use EAs that align with their individual trading strategies and styles. Trade copiers are also allowed.
Overnight and Weekend Holding Allowed Aqua Funded has no restrictions on holding trades overnight or over the weekend. Trading cryptocurrencies over the weekend is also permitted.
Copy Trading Allowed (with restrictions) Copy trading is permitted, but only from personal accounts legally owned by the account holder. Copying is allowed between Aqua Funded accounts, from Funded accounts to Evaluation accounts and vice-versa, and between Aqua Funded accounts and external accounts.
Trading Strategies Some Allowed, Some Restricted Hedging within the same account and Martingale strategies are allowed. Using a stop-loss is not required.
Inactivity Not Allowed (30-day rule) The trader needs to place at least one trade every 30 days. If this is not done, the account will be considered inactive and a breach of the account will occur.
News Trading Restricted (Funded Accounts) News trading is allowed during the challenge phase. On funded accounts, news trading is restricted. Traders must refrain from opening or closing trades five minutes before and five minutes after red folder (high-impact) news events. Profits earned during this restricted period will be removed. Trading during FOMC events is strictly prohibited.

Prohibited Trading Practices/Gambling Policy Not Allowed Exploiting demo account inefficiencies (platform/data freezing, delayed data feeds, delayed charts, tick scalping, HFT, arbitrage bots) and any unrealistic trading strategy are prohibited. Changing the provided account password is not allowed. "All or nothing" strategies are prohibited. Trades exceeding 80% margin usage in a single trade are considered gambling.
Trading Period Unlimited Aqua Funded offers an unlimited trading period for all its challenges. Traders have no time constraints.
Minimum Trading Days Varies by Program 3-Step Evaluation: No minimum trading days. 1-Step and 2-Step Evaluations: 3 minimum trading days with at least 0.5% profit each day. Instant Funding Challenge: 5 minimum trading days.
Misc. Rules Various No maximum lot size limits. Drawdown type varies by challenge (Trailing for 1-Phase and Instant Funding, Static for 2-Phase and 3-Phase). A consistency rule (40% maximum daily profit) applies only to the Instant Funding Challenge. A maximum loss per trade policy (2% on open trades) applies only to the Instant Funding Challenge.
