Trump promised to call Zelensky after speaking with Putin and followed that up.

Zelensky said he had a 'meaningful' conversation with Trump and tweeted about it. The wheels certainly seem to be in motion for a deal:

I had a meaningful conversation with the US President. We long talked about opportunities to achieve peace, discussed our readiness to work together at the team level, and Ukraine’s technological capabilities—including drones and other advanced industries. I am grateful to President Trump for his interest in what we can accomplish together. We also spoke about my discussion with Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent and the preparation of a new document on security, economic cooperation, and resource partnership. President Trump shared details of his conversation with Putin. No one wants peace more than Ukraine. Together with the U.S., we are charting our next steps to stop Russian aggression and ensure a lasting, reliable peace. As President Trump said, let’s get it done. We agreed to maintain further contact and plan upcoming meetings.
