* As of June 11, 2024

Deposit Insurance

JustMarkets supports segregated client money as part of its regulatory requirements, ensuring that client funds are kept separate from the company’s operating capital. The entity regulated by CySEC also offers a deposit compensation scheme of up to €20,000 for retail traders only.

This means that if the broker were to fail, there is an investor compensation program to reimburse clients for their losses. Potential investors should consider this factor when evaluating the security of their funds with JustMarkets.

* As of June 11, 2024

JustMarkets offers competitive spreads and costs, particularly in the forex and commodities asset classes. Compared to industry-leading brokers, JustMarkets' average spreads for forex are relatively low, making it an attractive option for Forex traders.

However, the broker's spreads on indices and commodities are in line with the market average, providing a balanced cost structure across different asset classes.

Our data comes from our sophisticated spread analyzer tool, which collects live account information and syncs with our performance analytics system. To compare all brokers and instruments with the latest live data, visit our spread analyzer tool. A spread is the difference between the bid (sell) and ask (buy) price of an asset and can vary widely between brokers and account types.

Some brokers charge higher spreads but no commission, while others charge both, making it crucial to assess the total cost, which includes both spread and commission. Our values reflect this all-in cost. Note that some brokers may set low costs on popular pairs like EURUSD but higher rates on other instruments.

Many brokers also advertise "as low as" spreads that may not reflect the true average or include commissions. Comparing true all-in cost averages across various instruments and asset classes is vital for accurate assessment.

Does JustMarkets Offer Islamic/Swap-free Accounts?

JustMarkets offers Islamic swap-free accounts for traders who cannot earn or pay interest due to religious beliefs. These accounts are available for all types of accounts provided by JustMarkets. To qualify for an Islamic account, traders need to apply for it, and upon approval, they will be exempt from swap charges on overnight positions.

Other Fees

In addition to spreads, commissions, and swap rates, JustMarkets charges some other fees which traders should be aware of:

Fee Type Description
Withdrawal Fee JustMarkets doesn't charge any additional commission for deposits or withdrawals. However, there might be a fee on the side of the payment system the client is using.
Inactivity Fee A $5/month fee is charged after 150 days of inactivity on the trading account. This fee is applied monthly until the account is reactivated or the balance becomes zero.

Comparison to other Brokers

* As of June 11, 2024

When comparing JustMarkets to other brokers, such as IC Markets, Exness, and HFM, it is clear that JustMarkets offers competitive spreads and leverage. While it lacks in providing a deposit compensation scheme and has no user reviews, its regulation by multiple authorities and high web traffic reflect a trustworthy and popular broker.

JustMarkets' spreads are lower in forex compared to Exness and IC Markets, but its swap rates are less favorable, making it more costly for holding positions overnight. The broker's long tenure in the market since 2012 adds to its credibility, although its lack of financial transparency and absence of public trading may be points of concern for some traders.

Trading Platforms - Mobile, Desktop, Automated

Platform Type Automated Trading Programming Language
MetaTrader 4 Desktop, Mobile, Web Yes MQL4 (easy to learn)
MetaTrader 5 Desktop, Mobile, Web Yes MQL5 (easy to learn)

JustMarkets offers MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5 platforms, both known for their robust features and flexibility. MetaTrader 4 is popular for its reliability and extensive library of expert advisors (EAs) for automated trading, programmed in MQL4, which is relatively easy to learn.

MetaTrader 5, on the other hand, offers more advanced charting tools, additional timeframes, and a more powerful back-testing environment with MQL5 as the programming language, also easy to grasp for new traders. Both platforms are available on desktop, mobile, and web versions, ensuring traders have access to the market wherever they are.

Automated trading is supported on both platforms, making it suitable for traders looking to implement algorithmic strategies.

All trading is conducted via CFDs (Contracts for Difference), which allow traders to speculate on the price movement of assets without owning the underlying asset. This type of trading is beneficial for leveraging positions, but it also involves higher risk. For a detailed list of available instruments, visit the JustMarkets website.

Available Leverage

JustMarkets offers different leverage levels depending on the regulatory entity and the type of trading account. Under Cyprus's CySEC regulation, the maximum leverage for retail clients is 30:1, reflecting EU regulatory standards. For accounts regulated by Seychelles' SC FSA, the maximum leverage is significantly higher at 3000:1.
