The major US indices fluctuated an up and down trading today, but are closing lower.

• Dow industrial average bill -11.31 points or -0.03% at 41953.32. At session highs index is up close to 286 points while at session lows the units was down -269 points.
• S&P index fell -12.4 points or -0.22% at 5662.89. At session highs the index was up 35.86 points. At session lows the index is down -42.96 points.
• NASDAQ index fell -59.16 points or -0.33% at 17691.63. At session highs, the index was up 152.41 points. At session lows the index was down -173.97 points.
• Russell 2000-13.44 points or -0.65% at 2068.62. At session highs, the index is up 7.90 points. At session lows index is down -21.58 points.
